Moises (Mo) Rodriguez Cruz is a current second year at the University of Chicago double majoring in Comparative Race & Ethnic Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies, and minoring in Human Rights. At UChicago, Moises is involved with the UChicago Mock Trial Team, the University of Chicago Coalition for Immigrant Rights, as well as with the Questbridge network, which is composed of first generation, low income students. He is also currently an intern at the National Immigrant Justice Center, where he works with the detained immigrant protection project. In addition to being an advocating for immigrant rights, Moises is passionate about the idea of conceptualizing all social movements through an intersectional lens, with a focus on uplifting  queer undocumented in traditionally heteronormative spaces. He’s also a huge fan of Netflix, sweet tea, jarritos, elotes, drag queens, pandas, bow ties, and the theatre. His role models include Angela Davis, Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, Lady Gaga, Gloria Anzaldúa, bell hooks, his mama y papa, and the undocumented community as a whole.
