Mars Sebastian is the co-creator of the award-winning hastag movement #BlackoutDay, which aims to create sustainable online positivity spaces for Black people to express their Blackness on their own terms. She is also the creator of the viral hashtag #LoveforLeslieJ, created in summer of 2016 to combat the targeted harassment of actress Leslie Jones. She is currently the Social Community Manager at DoSomething.org, a digital platform mobilizing young people to create social change.
