Hunter Schafer

Model and Transgender Advocate
Hunter Schafer is to be seen — and heard. Scouted by Elite NYC via her Instagram page, the outspoken, passionate transgender advocate helped to lead the fight in her native's North Carolina repeal of House Bill 2. In fact, Hunter was the youngest plaintiff in ACLU's lawsuit against HB2. The state's controversial "bathroom bill" stipulated that users of public restrooms must visit the bathroom that corresponds to their assigned sex at birth, rather than how one identifies their gender.

Hunter's tireless efforts to empower all genders have been subject to feature stories by W magazine, Dazed magazine, Teen Vogue, LOVE magazine, and i-D magazine, speaking out about the importance of LGBTQ+ rights.

Teen Vogue has championed the All-American talent, naming her as one of world's 21 Most Influential People Under 21 Years of Age. She was also featured on the cover of the magazine's winter issue, and posed for a portrait alongside Hillary Clinton its fall fashion issue.

In the span of less than two years, Hunter interned with the hot American design collective, Vaquera; fronted Versus by Versace's FW 2017 campaign; and starred in an editorial for Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book. She has hit her stride on the runways to boot with struts for Marc Jacobs, House of Holland, Matty Bovan, Helmut Lang, and Miu Miu.

Soon, Hunter begins an exciting new chapter in her diverse career: starting her foundation year at Central Saint Martins with a concentration in fashion and textiles.
