Inside the Movement to Advance Trans Equality

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In recent years, social media and pop culture have done much to advance trans visibility in the U.S. (thank you Pose, Orange is the New Black, and countless precursors). In contrast, the country now has its least LGBTQ+ friendly administration in modern history (see bans from the military to our bathrooms), and incidents of hate against trans people—especially Black and Latinx trans women and femmes—are on the rise.   In this conversation, hear from leaders across these spheres who will offer insight on why visibility doesn’t necessitate equality, where we go from here in propelling this movement forward.
