More than one in ten girls is catcalled before their 11th birthday, and more than one in six kids in elementary and secondary school deals with gender-based harassment. Discrimination like this can have lasting effects, and we can’t afford to be quiet about it any longer. In this session, the Girl Scouts of the USA’s chief family engagement officer Andrea Bastiani Archibald will share insights on the best way to approach topics of gender-based discrimination with your kids no matter their age, and will reveal why you can’t afford to wait to have these important conversations.
